Trusting the Lord that all will work out when in the midst of traveling up those heavy paths of challenge and hurt is not an easy undertaking. I discovered when I was living in the mountains that there were steps I could take to help me more quickly turn crisis to confidence- fear into faith. See “The Trust Trek” for my story.

One step that helped me greatly on my journey to learning to put greater trust in the Lord during the hard times was focusing on what the Bible says about trust. This mini-study includes just a few of the many scriptures about trusting in God.

Please complete each verse with the word “trust” and contemplate on the message of the verse for your own circumstances.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you _____________ in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13 NIV

But I ________________ in you, LORD; I say, “You are my God.” Psalm 31:14

______________________ in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV

When I am afraid, I put my ___________________ in You. Psalm 56:3

Some _______________ in chariots and some in horses, but we ___________________ in the name of the LORD our God. Psalm 20:7

But I _______________________ in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation.Psalm 13:5

The Lord is my strength and my shield; in Him my heart _______________, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to Him. Psalm 28:7 ESV

Thank you, Lord, for the many assurances we are given that we can trust in You. I ask that you would bless readers with encouragement in whatever circumstance they finds themselves in right now with knowledge that they can give the situation to You. Thank you for helping me daily to do the same thing- for reminding me- even today. In Jesus’ name, amen.
